Warwick Amnesty is a society focused on raising awareness of human rights abuses. As one of the biggest and most active campaigning societies at Warwick, we are constantly involved in putting on talks, organising campaigns, fundraising and also enjoying socials!

The aim of our campaigns is to increase awareness of human rights issues amongst the Warwick University student body and encourage students to put pressure on the individuals and governments that allow such abuses to take place.

An integral part of our campaigning is spreading information and starting constructive debates about the issues that are important to us. We started #amnesthursdays in September 2019 to break down the most important human rights-related news to short articles and make them more accessible to busy university students.

This year #amnesthursday is edited by Justyna Michalak and Ari Hassan. Our writers are EJ Curran-Ross, Katie Dale, George Hazell, Joanne Hupertan, Sara Kende, Vriddhi Khattar, Tom van Mierlo and Martyna Wrona.
